Dr. Santanu Sengupta

Secretary, Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad

It is with great pride and a sense of deep responsibility that I extend my heartfelt greetings to all patrons, artists, students, and well-wishers associated with Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad.

As the Secretary of this esteemed cultural institution, it is my privilege to uphold the values and vision that were laid down by my late father, Shri Kajal Sengupta — a distinguished Rabindra Sangeet exponent and a true torchbearer of Indian classical traditions. Steeped in a lifelong journey of music and cultural consciousness, I have been fortunate to grow amidst an environment where art was not merely an expression, but a way of life.

Over the decades, Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad has emerged as a vibrant platform for nurturing and promoting Indian classical music, dance, fine arts, and allied cultural disciplines across national and international borders. Through examinations, festivals, exhibitions, workshops, and cultural initiatives, we strive to create opportunities for every passionate learner and dedicated artist.

Having pursued my PhD in Philosophy from Adamas University, and currently serving as the President of its Alumni Association, I am constantly inspired to blend intellectual rigor with artistic pursuit. I believe that culture is not just inherited — it must be rediscovered, reinterpreted, and revitalized with each generation.

Under the Parishad’s banner, some of our significant milestones in recent years include the Golden Jubilee Convocation, the Shantiniketan Mahotsav, the International Cultural Conclave in Belgium, and various landmark exhibitions such as the one hosted at Academy of Fine Arts & Noti Binodini Art Gallery — each an example of how collaborative vision and artistic excellence can reshape the cultural discourse.

As we move ahead in an ever-evolving world, our goal remains steadfast: to preserve our glorious heritage while embracing new ideas, technology, and outreach models. I invite all artists, educators, and institutions to join us in this collective cultural journey — to inspire, educate, and elevate.

Let us continue to celebrate the spirit of Indian culture with dignity, innovation, and unity.

Warm regards,

Dr. Santanu Sengupta
